
Allen Kohan
Managing Director
Allen Kohan brings thirty years of corporate finance, M&A and strategic planning experience to Mast Advisors. He has led numerous acquisitions transactions with an aggregate value of more than $1 billion, and $700 million in revenue, as well as many divestitures, joint ventures and corporate sales. In addition, Mr. Kohan has extensive experience in strategic planning, strategic and plan implementation, acquisition targeting and valuation, due diligence management, transaction execution and post-acquisition integration planning. He has been the lead negotiator for transactions in 14 countries, ranging from Europe, to Latin America, to the Asia Pacific region.
From 1984 until 2007, Mr. Kohan worked for BASF Corporation (formerly Engelhard Corporation) as Director of Corporate Development. In that role, he was responsible for global strategic growth through acquisition, joint venture, and selected divestiture. His duties spanned strategy formulation, business targeting, valuation, deal structuring, transaction management, negotiation and business integration. Prior to Joining Mast Advisors, Mr. Kohan was a Vice President with Young & Partners, an international investment bank focused on the chemicals industry, and a Senior Advisor to Business Development Asia, an international investment bank specializing in Asian cross-border transactions.
Mr. Kohan has degrees from Carnegie-Mellon University, the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh and the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. He previously served as Vice President of the Association for Corporate Growth Global and Executive Vice President of the ACG New Jersey chapter.
